On Monday morning, October 23rd, at least 7 people were killed and 25 injured in a pileup on the I-55 in St. John the Baptist Parish due to low visibility caused by smoke and fog. Louisiana police have noted that the death toll could climb as more cars are searched. They reported over 158 vehicles were involved in the crash, according to WDSU6
