If you thought the delays on the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge were bad already, hold onto your shifter and prepare to put your car in park. According to KPEL, the DOTD has announced yet another schedule change for the current repair project on the bridge.
Between mile marker 117 and mile marker 141, crews will be working every night on repair projects, weather permitting. The closure times will be between 8:30 PM till 7 AM. These projects are expected to last until February 2nd, weather permitting.
They plan to have alternating lane and shoulder closures in both directions, though entrance and exit ramps will be open to traffic. These projects are in addition to the road resurfacing project in progress on the weekends. The will be fixing bridge joints, barrier rails, and other repairs needed for the maintenance of the bridge.
Laborde Earles injury was great for me they took care of me very fast and professional. If for any reason I need legal help they will be who I use.
ClientThe bridge is a vital lifeline in the area, so we can expect a lot of slow traffic for the next week. If at all possible, try to find an alternate route for your morning commute if you need to go over the bridge. We also advise drivers to be extra cautious during this time. The construction wll make the narrow bridge even more treacherous to drive over, plus there will be workers out in force to complete the repairs in time. Stay safe!
