For 10 years, Laborde Earles has been giving bikes to children in communities across Louisiana. In recent years, we’ve been proud to partner with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Acadiana (now in our 3rd year working together) and Alice Boucher Elementary (our 1st year partnering) to expand our reach and impact. This year, we’re proud to make our biggest impact yet by expanding Bike It Forward across all seven of our office locations.

Who Can Enter

When children are supported and encouraged, it creates a ripple effect that benefits entire communities; a bike is the perfect “vehicle” for achieving just that. It’s something they can call their own and maintain, instilling a sense of responsibility and independence.

A bike gives them another reason to go outside and stay active with their local community while building friendships.

We want to expand that mission, so we are opening this year’s giveaway to children in the following communities across Louisiana:

  • Lafayette
  • New Iberia
  • Marksville
  • Alexandria
  • Lake Charles
  • Baton Rouge
  • New Orleans

Eligibility requirements include the following:

  • Children must be in Pre-K through 5th grade
  • One entry per child

What Winners Receive

Selected children will receive:

  • A brand-new bicycle
  • A properly fitted helmet

Each bike is matched to the child, so from the moment they pick it up, they’re ready to ride!

Important Dates

  • Entry Deadline: May 8, 2026
  • Winner Notifications: Mid-May 2026
  • Pickup: Families will be contacted directly with pickup details based on their selected location.

A Partnership Built on Potential

Laborde Earles is committed to helping children grow into confident and capable individuals by investing in programs that create opportunities for them. One way we support this mission is by partnering with organizations that uplift local youth, such as Big Brothers Big Sisters. For decades, this organization has paired young people with dedicated mentors who provide consistent guidance and support. These one-on-one relationships help children navigate challenges, stay engaged in school, and build confidence in themselves and their future.
