5th Annual Project Backpack event

Helping Louisiana Students Start the School Year Strong

At Laborde Earles, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to begin the school year with confidence. Through our annual Project Backpack initiative, we help provide backpacks and school supplies to students throughout Louisiana so they can start the school year prepared and ready to learn.

This year marks our 5th Annual Project Backpack Event. In addition to our partnerships with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Acadiana and local Acadiana schools, we are excited to host backpack distribution events in Alexandria, Lake Charles, Marksville, and New Orleans.

Each school-age child in need will be eligible to receive one mesh backpack filled with a 33-piece school supply kit while supplies last.

Additional Information:
- One submission per family.
- All school-age children in need of a backpack and school supplies are eligible.
- Each child will receive one mesh backpack and a 33-piece school supply kit while supplies last.
- Backpack pickup is available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

Please select your preferred pickup location when registering. Backpack distribution will take place Wednesday, August 5, 2026 (Alexandria and Marksville) or Friday, August 7, 2026 (Lake Charles and New Orleans) from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at your selected office while supplies last.
