Born and raised in Lafayette, Jennifer attended Louisiana State University (LSU) where she earned an undergraduate degree. She then pursued a law degree at Southern University Law Center, graduating in May 2007. Following graduation, Jennifer served as a law clerk for the Honorable Richard T. Haik of the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana. She then joined Preis & Roy, APLC as an associate attorney. Subsequently, she worked as a permanent law clerk and research attorney for the Honorable Phyllis M. Keaty and the Honorable Charles G. Fitzgerald of the Louisiana Third Circuit Court of Appeal.
