Motorcyclist Thrown Off Bridge On I-10 West

Using a motorcycle safely requires training, but accidents can still happen even to the best riders. When these accidents happen on a bridge, the results can be deadly. Motorcycles on I-10 in Louisiana have to take special care when driving or they could end up falling off a bridge, like what happened in this case reported by NOLA.com.

On Monday, a motorcyclist was thrown off a bridge on I-10 according to the Louisiana State Police. It happened on I-10 West near I-310 in the early evening.

The police stated that the motorcyclist hit the left side of the bridge and fell off into the access canal into the water. They declared the rider dead at the scene and are working to recover the body from the water.

According to witnesses, the rider was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

We may never know what caused the accident. There are many possible factors for this tragedy, but we can agree that it is a tragedy. If you are motorcyclist in Louisiana, take care when you’re on the roads and get training on how to ride in dangerous circumstances.
