Kristen Broussard Guidry was born and raised in Rayne, Louisiana. She now lives in Broussard, Louisiana, having returned to her roots. One of her ancestors, Valsin Broussard, is its founder. She graduated in the top 15% of her law school class at Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 1998. After clerking for the Honorable Marc T. Amy of the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeal of Louisiana, Kristen worked as an insurance defense attorney for most of her 25 years of practicing law. Kristen uses her deep knowledge of the insurance industry in zealously advocating for and representing her clients.
She is a past president of the Lafayette Young Lawyers Association and a past recipient of the Outstanding Young Lawyer of Louisiana award. Kristen is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Lafayette. She and her husband Jerry are members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Broussard, Louisiana. In her free time, she enjoys cycling classes at Red’s, dragging her husband to local estate sales, and traveling.
