It’s rare for a day to pass where I-10 is accident-free. It’s one of the major thoroughfares of the area, and that means traffic and accidents. Just listen to any daily traffic report and you’re likely to hear of an accident on this road in Louisiana. Here is a sample from a few days ago by KATC.
On the day of the report, there were several accidents in both directions near or on the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge. I-10 East was closed at mile marker 116 due to an accident and caused congestion that stretched for eight miles. Concrete barriers were damaged in that accident and had to be repaired before traffic could go through.
Meanwhile, I-10 West had heavy delays from mile marker 128 to mile marker 114 thanks to multiple accidents. This two-way delay for all the incidents caused the DOTD to ask drivers to find alternate routes to avoid the incidents.
Laborde Earles injury was great for me they took care of me very fast and professional. If for any reason I need legal help they will be who I use.
ClientWhy do so many accidents happen on this stretch of road? There are several factors. Some of it is due to narrow roads and bridges and a lack of a shoulder. There is no place where people can pull to the side to avoid an accident. Another is a lack of enforcement against dangerous drivers on the road. Despite tightened regulations, accidents are still a regular occurrence.
